“Salem’s Lot” Moved To 2023

It looks like Bill’s film SALEM’S LOT has been moved from this coming September to next spring, April 2023. Apparently Warner Brothers has done this with their whole rest of 2022 and 2023 releases. No real reason was given.

Warner Bros. Pushes ‘Salem’s Lot’ to Spring 2023

Lewis Pullman stars in the Stephen King adaptation.

Salem’s Lot will be haunting audiences a little later than planned. Warner Bros. has moved the Stephen King adaptation to April 21, 2023. The New Line project was previously slated to open Sept. 9 of this year, a favorite corridor for King adaptations such as It (2017) and It: Chapter Two (2019).

Veteran horror scribe Gary Dauberman, known for writing the It films and helming Annabelle Comes Home, is directing a cast that includes Lewis Pullman, Makenzie Leigh, Alfre Woodard, John Benjamin Hickey, Bill Camp, Jordan Preston Carter, William Sadler, and Pilou Asbaek.

King published Salem’s Lot in 1975. The book centers on an author who returns to his hometown only to discover townspeople are slowly being turned into vampires. James Wan, Michael Clear, Roy Lee and Mark Wolper are producing.

Warners also removed from the schedule The Last Train to New York, a remake of the Korean zombie hit Train to Busan. Dauberman penned the script with Timo Tjahjanto directing and James Wan producing.

The studio also unscheduled House Party, which was slated to hit HBO Max on July 28. The reboot stars Tosin Cole And Jacob Latimore. The studio, which release first-look images back in May, did not announce release plans for the film at this time.

The loss of Salem’s Lot from the September calendar comes as box office observers are concerned over a lull in product in the coming months.

Bill recently sat down with Jeff Hass of Traversing The Stars Podcast On Youtube, where they discussed Bill’s upcoming role in his fourth role in a film adaptation of a Stephen King novel, SALEM’S LOT. He will not be playing Kurt Barlow as I previously had in the sidebar under his projects. His role right now is being described as an “Easter Egg.” I’ll have more as information comes available. Also Bill said he’s putting together an album of his songs he made famous on his THE KITCHEN TAPES channel on Youtube. He said he might have something out in a month and that proceeds will go to a charity. Again, I’ll have more when Bill releases it.

Site Status Update

I know it’s been a while since I posted anything new. I wanted to let you know I haven’t abandoned the site. My life has been very busy lately and I’ve got a ton of things happening all at once. I don’t know if I mentioned this, but I’m in the process of researching to write my first novel. Websites are my hobby and at times I just don’t have the time for them that I want to. Particularly when real life piles up. Along with the first novel thing, there have been some illnesses in the family and that takes precedence in terms of it should be expected. It’s not COVID, thankfully. I’ve also been working on another project not related to the web that again has taken up a lot of my time. I’m truly hoping I can get back into some kind of schedule in the coming weeks. I’m not sure when uploads will resume, but for now the site has been up for you. It will remain up no matter what. I know there was a bit of a glitch there causing the site to be offline. I’m sorry for that. I found the cause and it’s fixed now. I want to say thank you all for your understanding and to those who reached out to me via email. Your thoughts are welcomed and appreciated. Please take care and here’s to getting back into Bill’s career. I have been keeping track of anything he’s up to including his role in SALEM’S LOT, his sixth association with a Stephen King property. I’ve got something I’m working on for your pleasure that will be up soon. Stay tuned.
