I was finally able to upload the media for Bill’s role of Walter Fields in THE ROOKIE. Here he plays a grandfather who believes he’s shooting at a stranger in his house, but it turns out to be his granddaughter. Bill’s performance is just heartbreaking. He filmed this before the death of his wife, Marni and I’m sure her condition was uppermost in his mind while he filmed it. I have stills, screencaps, and the video clip in the video section. Enjoy.

I know I haven’t been posting much. Stuff in real life has sort of taken a bit of predominate place of late. Including my attempt at writing my first novel. I’m not sure what my upload/posting schedule will be, but I do have an update on Bill for you. Bill will be attending a screening of his 2010 film MINEVILLE where he plays the part of Tom O’Roarke in Upstate New York on April 14, 2024. He will be taking part in a Q&A afterward where you can also meet the other cast members. The film also stars Bill’s ROSWELL son, Nick Wechsler. The information is listed below. Writer, producer and director; Lori Kelly-Bailey (whose previous works included GARROW & A ROADHOUSE COUP) is thrilled to announce a special one night only, 14-year anniversary screening of her original movie MINEVILLE. Filmed entirely on locations in and around the Adirondack region, MINEVILLE is filled with an amazing well-known cast and an eclectic group of local actors and extras.
Actor William Sadler of the Mist, Shawshank Redemption, the Green Mile, will be present for a meet and greet at the screening of the movie MINEVILLE at the Charles R Wood Theater. Enjoy a Q&A session with William Sadler and the film’s Director Lori Kelly-Bailey after the film! Many original cast and crew will also be attending this screening event.
Bill was off last year filming a limited series for HBO called FULL CIRCLE. In this his character, Gene McCusker, was involved in inter-family politics as he comes to terms with something between he and his brother, Jeff (Denis Quaid.) The series was really good and had one guessing till the last scene in the last episode. The series also starred Timothy Olyphant, Clare Danes (Bill guest starred on Danes’ former series HOMELAND), Suzanne Savoy, and CCH Pounder. Remember Pounder was in DEMON KNIGHT playing Irene, the owner of the boarding house where Bill’s character, Brayker, went to rest. Bill and CCH didn’t have any scenes together, which was kind of a bummer. Would have loved to have seen them together again.
Continuing on with season two, Jim is heading for a confrontation with those who would seek to destroy the kids for who they are. Jim’s defense is so great, is he willing to sacrifice his livelihood to protect them?

Finally, back at adding Bill’s ROSWELL episodes. Sorry it’s taken me so long, but…well….stuff. In the aftermath of finding out the kids’ secret identity, Sheriff Valenti has gone from foe to friend/protector. In season two he’s in a race to protect them from the authorities finding out their secret. I loved the scene in episodes two, Ask Not, when Jim welcomed Kyle (Nick Wechsler) from football camp where he’s embraced a Buddhist philosophy. I loved the rapport between Bill and Nick. So cute.
