At last a look at Bill’s film THE UNHOLY. There’s still no word about his character’s name, believe me I’ve searched. This looks intense and up my ally as far as horror is concerned. Enjoy.
According to Fansided, Bill’s film THE UNHOLY is finally getting a release date. The film is slated to open in theatres on April 2, 2021. This is very good news in that movie theatres are slowly reopening after COVID. As of now there is no name for Bill’s character. More below.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan horror movie The Unholy gets a release date
The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan will star in the Sam Raimi-produced horror film titled The Unholy. This film was formerly titled The Shrine. Deadline reports that The Unholy is set to be released in theaters on April 2.
This film is written and directed by Evan Spiliotopoulos, and this will mark his directorial debut. Spiliotopoulos is known for the screenplay for Hercules (2014), The Huntsman: Winter’s War (2016) and the live-action film Beauty and the Beast.
Raimi, Spiliotopoulos and Rob Tapert produce the movie. Raimi is primarily known for his cult horror series, Evil Dead, and Tapert is known for co-creating the Zena: Warrior Princess series.
Morgan will star alongside Katie Aselton, William Sadler, Cricket Brown, with Diogo Morgado and Cary Elwes in this film adaptation of the James Herbert novel Shrine.
What is The Unholy film about?
Morgan plays Gerry Fenn, a disgraced journalist who travels to a small-town New England town to investigate some divine miracles.
A young hearing-impaired girl, Alice (Brown), can hear after an alleged visit from the Virgin Mary. She also gains the ability to speak and heal sickness. People travel from all over to witness these miracles. As Feen investigates, terrifying events start to occur, making him question whether these miracles are divine or perhaps something evil.

William Sadler opens up about ‘Alice Fades Away’ thriller
Actor William Sadler (“Bill & Ted Face the Music”) chatted with Digital Journal’s Markos Papadatos about the film “Alice Fades Away.”
In the thriller Alice Fades Away, directed by Ryan Bliss, he plays James. “I had fun but it was very intense,” he said. “James is a powerful character and a powerful man who has lost control of something in his life that means the world to him, and that makes him an interesting character to play. He is a man that is used to getting what he wants, he is wealthy and he commands respect, and controls everything in his world.”
He praised the film’s director, Ryan Bliss. “I thought Ryan was terrific. I love directors that create a safe place for you to play in. You feel trusted. These are the directors that get the best work out of their actors. You can go as far as you feel free to go. I was blown away when I saw the final film, and how beautiful it was,” he said.
The movie also stars Blanche Baker (Sixteen Candles), Paxton Singleton (The Haunting of Hill House) and Ashley Shelton (Something, Anything). Christopher French composed the musical score. “It’s a thriller but it has gorgeous photography, and I admire that as well. The photography makes for a good film,” he said.
Alice Fades Away is available for streaming on digital platforms by clicking here. It was released on February 16 via 1091 Pictures. “If viewers like suspense, I would encourage them to see this film,” he said. “I think it’s a terrifying story that is beautifully sold. I would urge people to see it.”
For young and aspiring actors, he encouraged them to do some theater, where they have to go in front of a live audience. “You have to deliver. I did theater for 11 years before I did my first movie. It took a couple of films to make the adjustment to the camera because it’s a slightly different style of acting. In film and television, there is no rehearsal. You run the scene once or twice with the actor that you just met that morning, and then, they lay it down on film and it’s there forever,” he said.
He described the latest Bill & Ted film, Bill & Ted Face the Music, as “great fun.” “I was thrilled when they came back to me after 30 years and asked me to be in another one, and I said ‘yeah of course’ and they told me the general plot of it,” he said.
Sadler defined the word success as “when you are secure in yourself and your career, and when things are in balance.”

Here he discussed his early work in theatre as a young actor and his various projects on Broadway. He also discussed his most successful roles including DEMON KNIGHT, THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, THE GREEN MILE, TRESPASS, BILL & TED’S BOGUS JOURNEY, BILL AND TED FACE THE MUSIC, DIE HARD 2, and THE MIST. I love when Bill talks about his stage work and his theatre days. He’s so humble and sweet. I’m sorry I haven’t been posting much, but I’m currently working on research for the novel I’m writing. I’m currently wading hip-deep in Russian history, The Vietnam War, and spaces in between
I’ve been working on Bill’s work on the JESSE STONE films in his role of GINO FISH. These films are really good and Bill is very mysterious in his role of this shady boxing promoter. The dynamic between he and the star of the series, Tom Selleck, is really good. I would really love more of these. According to what I’ve read there is the possibility of one more. I’ll keep my eye open with hope Bill returns.
